It's time to Garden!

Hello, I'm sure you remember my funny looking garden with the fire hydrant in the middle...

This year we will be moving at the end of August, so I decided not to do a vegetable garden. Many tears were shed at the arrival of this decision...well, not really, but I kind of felt like crying.

Instead, I will be planting wild flowers. I spent the last few days weeding the garden and preparing the soil. Yesterday I sprinkled the wild flower seeds all over the garden and that was kind of fun. I really hope they grow! You have to water them for the first bit until they get established, and then they don't require very much work at all.

I'm hoping that will add some color and beauty to this ugly place. The flowers are supposed to keep coming back every year, so if the next person doesn't want to work in the garden it should still look nice without having to do much or any work.

I'll post more pictures if my flowers grow!

Way to pay it forward, the soil will be happier kept busy growing things, and the new people will enjoy the beauty. Good philosophy of life..always leave it better than you found it.

Haha, yeah, the soil will be happier with flowers. It was actually very busy growing weeds just a few days ago! Hahah!

That's a nice idea, Holly. Hopefully, you'll end up with a nice little multi-color patch. I wanna see it when they're blooming. I hope they'll be mature enough for you to get a final picture of that. Pretty, pretty.

This reminds me of when I worked in Stanwood at the machine shop. The whole area was ugly beyond description. I totally hated that place because it was so ugly. I was SO GLAD to move from that area. I hope you end up in a beautiful area where you will be happy to look out your windows.
