What?! Snow?

Greg and I just got this new game on the Wii (it's the really old Mario Brothers game with the tail and the frog suit). We have been playing all night (literally, it's no 4am) and I heard this tapping at the window. I thought it must be raining. Boy was I surprised when I looked outside and saw this!

Earlier today I was outside in the sunshine putting dirt in my new pots and planting my flowers. I'm wondering if we should have kept our snow tires on a little longer!

Happy Easter!

New Flower Pots!

This one goes in the bathroom on the counter. I was going to put ivy in it, but I like this plant too.

I think I'll put these in the living room, and grow some flowers.

This is to grow strawberries! And the birds won't get them this year!

I can't wait til the weather is warm and we can have a garden. Today it was sunny and warm, but it snowed again tonight.

Crazy Weather!

The weather can't seem to make up it's mind here. It was sunny and rainy back and forth all day today!

And then for about 15 seconds it hailed REALLY HARD, and then went back to being sunny.

We wanted to get a picture of the hail balls because they were so big.

This is about 5 minutes after the hail as the dark clouds floated away.

How much are you addicted?

47%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?

Not that you really need a quiz to tell you how much you like to blog...I just thought it was kind of funny. And if you even care enough to take this goofy quiz, you already know you're hooked. Hahaha!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

Ice Cream Ball!

We've been having fun with our ice cream maker ball. You just fill the blue part with ice and salt, and then put the milk, sugar, vanilla, etc...in the middle section, and roll it around. We made chocolate one night, and strawberry the next. It's good stuff!

Strawberry Cupcakes!

I've always wanted to make strawberry cake with strawberry frosting, so I finally tried it last night! (The frosting was the experiment part.) If you want a cupcake, just come to my Mia Maid's class today!

I used some frozen strawberries, let them thaw out, and mushed them up. I mixed that with cream cheese and powdered sugar. I didn't even add milk or vanilla, because there was too much liquid. So I ended up separating a smaller amount out and making that part thicker. (I didn't want to use ALL of my powdered sugar.) It tastes pretty good, and especially good with the strawberry cake. I think I will use the rest of the frosting more like a glaze to go over a cake where it can run down the sides. Next time (and if you want to try too) I would mush up the strawberries and try to drain out the juice as much as possible. Then if you need more liquid you can add juice a little bit at a time. I also found a recipe online that uses melted white chocolate chips to mix in. I think that makes it thicker, although I can't imagine how it tastes. I'll let you know if I try that one too!

Greg and Lasagna Roll-ups!

Greg was really tired last night.

And I made Lasagna Roll-ups!

They were very good. They are kind of fun to make too. It's like making lasagna, only you put the stuff on each noodle and roll that one noodle up, and put it in the pan. The stuff in the middle is a mixture of ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, spinach, egg, salt and pepper. Then you pour the spaghetti sauce over all of the noodles, and bake it for 25 minutes.
