Good News, Bad News

Ok, bad news first.

Some of Greg's stitches came out of his finger early.

...Then he fell down the stairs at school and caught himself by slamming his hand on the rail really hard. The cut broke open and bled.

More bad news: We found out that it cost $1,000 for Greg's stitches.

Good news: We don't have to pay for it because we are poor enough. A charitable agency designed to help poor people is taking care of it for us. I guess there are a few perks to being poor college students.

And this concludes our session of Good News, Bad News for today.

Good Grief! (I'm crinkling up my face because it's hurting to think of Greg breaking open his stitches.) Ooo Ooo YEOwwwwch! Wow, that was expensive to get those stitches. I'll be really glad when Greg is gainfully employed and has insurance and other bennies. Sorry, Greg, about your now EXTRA-sore finger. Holly, you'd better consider taking out disability and life insurance on Greg. He's gonna end up doin' himself in!

Haha, yeah, I think I will get a really good insurance plan. And he didn't break open his stitches on the stairs--a couple came out before that just for no reason...came untied. I thought about putting a picture of his finger but Greg didn't think anybody would really want to see it.

How do you fall down stairs?

Greg needs to take martial arts. Then he can satisfy his need to be hurt three times a week without doing permanent damage.

Of course, Greg doesn't have time or money to take martial arts right now. So in the meantime, Holly - you can satisfy Greg's need for pain by waking him up with a frying pan.

Hi Holly, Oh, I'm so sorry to hear/read about Greg's injury! Painful for him, and unnerving for you, I'm sure. Your Easter treats look delicious. I've done those with vanilla pudding and whipped cream, but I've never done the chocolate on top. Sounds delicious! I'm excited you get to go to Time Out for Women. I love Brother Wilcox. His books and talks are some of my favorites!

Faye and Dave, you make me laugh and cry! Holly, skip the frying pan, please. Life with Greg has always been an adventure! Love you Greg! ...and you too, Holly! Lory ps-God knew I loved adventure, that's why he gave me Greg so early in life.

That was exaggerated! I was going up like three steps, I misstepped and caught myself on the rail. sheesh.
